You can see the old Sura mosque at Chargaacha village of Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur district. The mosque is also known to many as Shuja Mosque. The mosque is mainly one-domed. However, more than 3 small-domed dome can be seen in the verandah of the mosque. To enter the mosque there are three entrances to the east. The eastern verandah also has entrance doors. There are two gateways to the north and south side of the mosque, in the verandah and main building. Inside the mosque, there are three mihrabs on the western wall. Four minarets can be seen in the 4 corners of the main cell of the mosque. There are also 2 minarets in the corner of the verandah. The terracotta paintings on the walls of the mosque and the mihrabs were of flower, sapling design. It is estimated that during the period of Sultan Hussein Shah, this monumental mosque was built around 1504.
